Morocco is the bridge between Europe and the Arab world in the north bordering the country at the Strait of Gibraltar to southern Spain. Moroccan people are affected by a strong Mediterranean and Arab costumes. In the region around Marrakesh and in the south of the High Atlas is the culture of the Berbers and desert nomads.

Morocco and its tourism potential is far from exhausted. From the endless and largely unspoiled Atlantic Coast, great to swim and surf, to the hidden valleys of the Atlas inviting you from great trekking and even skiing. The glittering royal cities of Fez, Meknes, Rabat and Marrakesh are really worth a visit.

Best destinations in Morocco

Morocco has a lot to offer and it’s really quite difficult to point out what is really the best. Some people like the beach and coastal destinations while other prefer to rest quiet somewhere in an unknown oasis. Some people prefer monuments and culture whilst others prefer the sand and brightness of the immense Sahara Desert.

Cities not to be missed: Marrakesh, Fez, Meknes, Chefchaouen, Tafraoute and Taroudannt.

Atlantic Coast destinations not to be missed: Essaouira, El Jadida, Asilah, Rabat and Casablanca.

Deserts and Oases not to be missed: Erg Chebbi Dunes, Mhamid, Zagora, Chegaga Dunes, Fint Oasis, Aslim, Tahmsalt and Skoura.

Valleys not to be missed: Gorge du Todra, Valley of Tamtettoucht, Valley of the Roses Gorge du Dades, Ait ben Haddou Valley and Draa Valley.
